We don't need any of the features in 12, and 11 is an LTS release.
Quasar isn't compatible with 12 yet and there isn't a huge amount of activity on its Git repository, so I don't know how quickly it will become compatible (if ever?)
We could switch back to the faster release train when Project Loom is released, as that will allow us to ditch Quasar.
